An exceedingly rare, crucial document in the case of prominent Dutch art dealer Jacques Goudstikker, who was killed on May 16, 1940 in an attempt to flee the Nazis. His collection largely fell into their hands. After the war the Dutch government collected the remnants of what was once one of the finest collections in Europe and added them to the Dutch national art collections. In recent years, hoever, there have been a number of claims by Goudstikker's descendants and the Goudstikker case remains highy controversial up this day.
Some minor signs of wear, but overall in very good condition.
